Description
The System Administrator will be responsible for managing various linux (mainly CentOS and Ubuntu) and windows servers utilized by our company and our clients company remotely. This involves maintenance, updates, scripting, and research into technologies that could be brought in to improve our operation and take it to the next level.
Responsibilities:
* Configure, manage, update, troubleshoot, and maintain computer servers running Windows and Linux operating system.
* Develop and maintain documentation covering the implementation, troubleshooting and management of Windows and Linux servers.
* Work with the software development/engineering team to deploy/release software updates to our cloud infrastructure.
* Monitor ongoing security threats and apply security updates in timely manner
* Participate in technology discussion related to the company on-going strategic initiatives, routine technology updates and standardize system configuration.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of professional server administration experience
* excellent verbal and written communication skills (English skill preferable)
* Experience managing: Linux Operating System, LNMP stack, Windows operating system, Active Directory, MS Exchange
* In-depth knowledge server/system security and security best practice
* Knowledge of automated server administration using chef/puppet
* Knowledge of one or more server scripting using BASH/Perl/Python or Ruby
* Have a passion for server/system security
Desirable:
* Experience managing cloud infrastructure/system with XenServer
* Experience working with Amazon Web Service
* Knowledge of DNS Administration
* Experience optimizing LNMP stack
* Possess Professional qualification: MCP/MCSA/RHCE/MCTS
* Working Knowledge of network planning/administration
* Knowledge of version control, especially GIT, is a plus

* Comfortably give and receive creative critiques
* Be able to function well within a high paced environment
* Take both initiative and direction
